Last month we talked about avoiding burnout while pursuing success.

This month, I want to take a step back and share something more personal:

The journey that got me here in the first place.

Because when people see the businesses, the properties, the events, and the opportunities today, they rarely see the years of uncertainty, mistakes, late nights, and lessons that came before them.

Everyone sees the highlight reel.

The sold-out events.
The real estate investments.
The business wins.
The travel.
The networking.

What they don’t always see are the years spent building everything from scratch.

In my newest blog post, I share the real story behind my entrepreneurial journey and some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Here are a few takeaways:

✔️ Success Rarely Happens Overnight

Most meaningful growth happens slowly. The work you do today often won’t show results for months or years.

✔️ Relationships Create Opportunities

Many of the biggest opportunities in my life came from genuine relationships, not cold pitches or shortcuts.

✔️ Every Industry Taught Me Something

Hospitality taught me people skills.
Nightlife taught me networking.
Real estate taught me patience.
Business taught me resilience.

Each chapter helped prepare me for the next.

✔️ Risk Is Part of Growth

Some opportunities worked out.
Some didn’t.

But every calculated risk provided lessons that helped shape future decisions.

✔️ Keep Building

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

You just need to keep showing up, learning, adapting, and taking action.

Looking back, I’m grateful for every lesson, every setback, and every opportunity that helped shape the person I am today.
